.:Find Yourself:.

I was listening to my iPod tonight, as I was driving back from playing volleyball in Moscow, and the Brad Paisley song "Find Yourself" came on from the Cars Soundtrack. I was just about to skip to the next song, when I decided just to listen to it. I listened intently to the words, and was very pleasantly surprised. It, in a way, solidified my recent decisions, and the big move that I am about to make...I'm happy that I have finally found myself...sometimes we have to take our own road to get there, and it doesn't make sense to anyone else, but at some point we are able to find what it is we are looking for. Here's the lyrics to the song.
(The last verse is still a mystery in my life, but it will come when it's supposed to...I'm just patiently waiting! NO RUSH!!)

Find Yourself
When you find yourself
In some far off place
And it causes you to rethink some things
You start to sense that slowly
You're becoming someone else
And then you find yourself

When you make new friends in a brand new town
And you start to think about settlin' down
The things that would have been lost on you
Are now clear as a bell
And you find yourself
Yeah that's when you find yourself

Where you go through life
So sure of where you’re headin'
And you wind up lost and it's
The best thing that could have happened
Cause sometimes when you lose your way it's really just as well
Because you find yourself
Yeah that’s when you find yourself
When you meet the one
That you've been waitin' for
And he's everything that you want and more
You look at him and you finally start to live for someone else
And then you find yourself
That’s when you find yourself

When we go through life
So sure of where we're headin'
And we wind up lost and it's
The best thing that could have happened
‘Cause sometimes when you lose your way it's really just as well
Because you find yourself
Yeah that's when you find yourself

Comments

Shannon,
This probably sounds really dumb but when I read your comment I got really nervous and anxious because I thought "I'm probably no good at volleyball anymore". I haven't played competitively since high school. But, after thinking about it, I would love to play again. Just don't expect too much from me. If this comment makes you change your mind, let me know :). Anyway, e-mail me the details at hlashcroft@yahoo.com. Thanks so much for thinking of me, it means a lot!!!
